Basic Concept

The BLUE VALLEY FOUNDATION has chosen the "Qinghai Geysar Foundation" to focus its present attention on. Qinghai Geysar Foundation is one of the few privately run charitable non-profit in Qinghai Province , Tibet . Run by Tibetans, with the heartfelt intention of preserving Tibetan culture while providing desperately needed services for indegenous peoples who are sorely underserved — Blue Valley has chosen 5 main areas to concentrate its activities.

Multi-Disciplinary Technical School

Mostly nomadic, largely neglected and the poorest of the poor - providing practical skills and an education for the indegenous Eastern Tibetan people will help hundreds enter the 21st century successfully. Education is the key to preserving an ancient cultural heritage.

The Frail Elders Project

Desperate, uncared for, no safety net below them — these fragile Tibetan elders live where no one else is willing to extend a hand. Reach out to them with your support. Your donation will bring physical care, medicine, housing, food and all the basics needed to bring comfort and dignity in the last stages of thier lives.

Environmental Demonstration Project

How sad it is to see the rapid environmental changes taking place on the Tibetan Plateau. Clean air and pristine waters, earth protected for millenia by isolation from the mechanized world and through traditional use practices are being lost to chemical residue brought on by careless "strip-mining" and the introduction of non-biodegradable plastics. In a culture that has historically been organically and non-toxic to the environment by choice — an environmental disaster looms large. Your donation will help establish the forefront of a Tibetan Environmental Movement.
